How it works

STEP 1

Connect your store

Install Shipi on WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, OpenCart or PrestaShop. Orders start syncing straight away.

STEP 2

Add your FedEx Freight (LTL) account

Enter your FedEx API key and secret (with the Freight LTL API enabled) and FedEx Freight account number in Shipi's carrier settings and pick the services you want to offer.

STEP 3

Print labels

Open an order, choose a FedEx Freight (LTL) service and create the label. Package details come from the order.

STEP 4

Tracking stays in sync

The tracking number goes back to your store and Shipi keeps checking the status until the parcel is delivered.

Is this the same as my FedEx parcel account?

No. FedEx Freight LTL uses its own Freight account number, and your FedEx developer project needs the Freight LTL API enabled. You can run FedEx parcel and FedEx Freight side by side in Shipi, so small orders go by parcel and heavy orders go by freight.

Can I test before shipping real freight?

Yes. Switch the account to test mode in Shipi to try quotes and bills of lading against the FedEx sandbox, then switch to live when you are happy.

Do I need my own FedEx Freight (LTL) account?

Yes. You open a business account with FedEx Freight (LTL) and enter its credentials in Shipi (FedEx API key and secret (with the Freight LTL API enabled) and FedEx Freight account number). You keep your negotiated rates and pay Shipi only for the software. If you get stuck on the credential step, our team will set it up with you.

Can I use FedEx Freight (LTL) alongside other carriers?

Yes. Add as many carriers as you need to one Shipi account and choose per order, or set shipping rules that decide which options appear at checkout.

Which store platforms does this work with?
